RoBeBo - Wedding Photographers

Styles of photography

We will discuss the style of photography you prefer at an initial meeting and then discuss everything in detail about a month before your day.

Generally the whole day will be captured as a documentary from about an hour before the ceremony starts (half-an-hour for our Silver package) until the time you have booked us for.

You may select the styles of photography you prefer. Most couples choose a mix of Formal, Reportage and Directed. Because you have the images on disc you can do whatever contemporary manipulations you’d like afterwards.

Formal/Traditional

Posed shots of the couple and wedding party before and after the ceremony plus family and friends group shots. We will also take photographs of the settings, floral decorations, accessories, your dress or costume, etc. These can also be used as backgrounds in an album.

Reportage/Photojournalistic

Candid shots of you and your guests taken unobtrusively.

Directed

We will suggest poses without being too formal and take photographs both close up and from a distance. We will probably ask you to walk towards and away from us as we take shots without you necessarily being aware of when we are doing it. We prefer you to relax and take time out while we take some shots from afar.

Avant Garde/Contemporary

We generally leave avant garde (tilted, colour replacement, special effects such as the ‘oil painting’ shown here) to be done after the event rather than attempt them on the day. If we shoot some in black and white we can’t add the colour back in afterwards but we can convert a colour photo to black and white at any time in post production. If you have a special request, e.g. the colour panel in an otherwise black and white photo shown on the Packages - Prices page then please let us know. Please consider that contemporary shots can go out of fashion quite quickly.
